Recycle more and pay less.
When we started Recycling it was because as a small business we were going to the landfill like everyone else and seeing all the waste just being buried I thought we had to do something about it.
This was long before it became a fashion item,
What's happening on the island is the waste chargers are going though the roof yet businesses are still paying more than they need to, we recycle pretty much everything except polystyrene (eps) and food waste so you could recycle more and pay less.
When Businesses big and small look at recycling they look at it in the wrong way, they always seem to look at it the it's an environment issue and not a waste issue, and as we all know the world is run by accountants who don't leave the comfort of there office.
When they look at the bin store they see for example 4 1100ltr wheelie bins and then they say re can not recycle because we have no room for the extra bins needed do start this service, what they need do is re-look at the space and say if we can recycle 50% or better still 75% re require only 1 or 2 1100ltr wheelie bins and they we have the space to add 2 or 3 1100ltr recycling bins.
